About the Author Sandra Calder Davidson is an artist and writer, and the author of children’s books, including a cookbook for children. She is also a mother and grandmother, and lives in New York.Jed Perl, the art critic for The New Republic, has been called by poet John Ashbery “an almost solitary, essential voice.” His many books include Antoine’s Alphabet: Watteau and His World, Eyewitness: Reports from an Art World in Crisis, and New Art City: Manhattan at Mid-Century.
